ABOUT

Bridging ancient medicine, clinical practice & modern living

HELLO & WELCOME!

I'm Jade

A brief bio of my working life (so far) I worked as a teacher for over 20 years and in recent years expanded into clinical practice as a hypnotherapist & psychotherapist, then furthered my training with somatic and energetic training of reiki, EFT and botanical essences.

Seeing the powerful effects this intergrative approach had on clients (& myself) it created a shift so profound in me that it changed my life, significantly.

From this, I became more curious about how we take care of ourselves with a particular interest in how to manage stress, trauma, the nervous system, the endocrine system & sleep. My goal became to teach people how to use these tools to bring about the changes they so eagerly wanted to see in their lives.

By working to bring soothing balance and resilience to your nervous system, an interruption in that spiralling feeling that leads to feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, hopeless and ashamed, out of control, self-sabotaging & afraid - it is possible to change these patterns for the better and for good.

Through my own journey with therapy and as a therapist I don't want to re-traumatise people, instead I want to share powerful, life-changing tools that work with nature (including our nature) to bring balance, stability and resilience to your day-today living.

Me now

My whole outlook on life has changed over the last few years, I don't say that lightly, but I say it sincerely.

How do we move from insight to embodiment? Most of us know what we want and usually how to do it, but we get blocked, stuck, self-sabotage, exhausted or feel hopeless - sometimes even scared/triggered - this is about recognising we need and deserve support - gentle, dynamic support; that is empowering.

I am learning from the plants, they are wonderful guides and I no longer think of my self as a teacher or therapist but a sharer of tools, guides & support systems.

You have the power to make the changes you, feel the love, support, guidance & replenishment of working with your different layers of consciousness, bioenergetic and physical wellbeing and wisdom.

I continue training & learning; in 2023 I completed a full-time year of Biomedicine with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and went on to begin training full-time as a Clinical Herbalist specialising in Western Herbal Medicine with Betonica School of Herbal Medicine (now in Year 2). So I do think of myself as herbalist, steadily working towards being qualified as a Clinical Herbalist.

I love to weave the clinical, traditional, bioenergetic, stories and nature to allow us to flourish fully.

Stories were an ancient tool of sharing knowledge and understanding, hypnotherapy is just a rewriting of the stories you tell yourself, blended with herbal medicine, it provides the perfect support and harmony to ease the difficult times many of us experience one time or another.

Whether it's relationships, work, community, life or your soul's purpose - these are powerful tools of healing & transformation.

Thank you for being here - Reach out if you have any questions, as a curious soul - I love other curious souls, ask me questions, i'd love to hear from you!

A little trivia about me...

I have a rescue dog, who rules our home like a tiny, snuggly tyrant. She has amazing boundaries and a eternally optimistic demand to be loved. I admire both traits.

My patient partner Brian & I. We are born a day apart and this is us this year having a wander round some herb gardens in Somerset for our birthday jolly!

You will often find me wandering around random places; cities, forests, gardens - looking into patches of weeds. I am an enthusiastic forager, once you start - it's quite addictive!

When I travel long distances with my partner (& he's driving), I sing karaoke on my my phone - sometimes for ages...I mean ages. He is a patient man.

I listen to gangster rap music in the car when I am nervous and need to feel braver. Music is the soundtrack for out nervous system.
